Our Story

Hey, it’s Catie and welcome to the shitshow!

I’m a thirty something mom, wife, LEO, book-nerd, and crazy horse girl who is finally able to live her life the way that she wants!

I met my husband, Rob, back in early 2022. We were pretty quick to blend our crazy little families and got married in a super private little ceremony (literally just us… and Jake) on the lake in August of 2024. We live up North with a whole plethora of animals (7… mostly my fault) and are working on the sweet little fixer upper of a house that we bought in March. Between the two of us we have 5 kids, ranging in age from 23 years to 8, and they certainly keep us on our toes when the animals don’t.

We both transitioned into law enforcement from professional careers, and it’s certainly brought it’s fair share of challenges as we’ve both learned to settle into the new normal of high stress night shifts. It hasn’t been without it’s growing pains, but we’re figuring it out as we go.

I’m mostly writing this blog as a fun creative outlet, and to share our story… because it’s obviously my favorite! If reading isn’t really your thing, I can be found on IG and TikTok under the same name.. @hey.itscatie!
